This ontology will form the basis to annotate WWW documents of the
Knowledge Acquisition Community in order to enable intelligent access to these documents.
(KA)2 ontology is a domain ontology which consists of two main parts: a
general ontology containing seven related ontologies (an organization ontology, a person
ontology, a publication ontology, a project ontology, an event ontology, a research-topic
ontology, and a product ontology) used to describe organizations, persons, publications,
etc., and a specialized ontology used to describe research topics of the knowledge
acquisition community and other related scientific areas.

The CIA Word Factbook is an excellent collection of
country description pages It contains information drawn from many government agencies
about each country in the world. It covers geography, people, governments, economics,
communications, transportation, and defense.
The CIA ontology is a domain ontology that consists of two
main parts: specific description classes that describe special aspects of the country
(like geography, economy, etc.) and the class that describes the whole country; it is
derived from all specific description classes.
